Dr. Michael Tesmer completed his undergraduate degree at Florida Gulf Coast University where he graduated Cum Laude in 2004. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2008 from the University of Florida. Dr. Tesmer continued his post-graduate periodontal training at the University of Florida and completed his residency in the spring of 2011. Throughout his residency, Dr. Tesmerserved as chief resident and was very involved in academic instruction, community service, lecturing and investigational research. Dr. Tesmer had an article on dental implants published in The Journal of Peridontology in December 2009.
Dr. Tesmer is a member of various local organizations such as the Seattle Study Club and the Pinellas County Dental Association. Dr. Tesmer is also affiliated with the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, the Southern Academy of Periodontology, and the Florida Association of Periodontology among others. Dr. Tesmer also remains very active in the University of Florida College of Dentistry where he serves as courtesy faculty in the periodontal department.
Dr. Tesmer has a caring and genuine rapport with his patients and his team. His excellent clinical skills and laser training make him an outstanding choice for your periodontal needs.
Dr. Tesmer is a native Floridian who enjoys spending time with his daughter and his family in Port Richey and is excited to move into his new home in St. Petersburg. Dr. Tesmer loves boating, fishing, water sports, and golf.
